Galeries Lafayette Doha launches new campaign, Pantone – The Exploration of Colors

Galeries Lafayette Doha, the legendary Parisian Department Store in Qatar, has launched its unique new campaign, Pantone – The Exploration of Colors, and the 2019 autumn/ winter shades have completely taken over the store.

Escalating the idea of ‘retailtainment’, the campaign has created a fashion-meets-art-meets-experience, driving creative minds to explore the color scheme.

The campaign, which will run from October until the end of November 2019, offers visitors a chance to experience a multi-sensory scheme that explores our relationship with color and also the specific effects color has with regard to our wellbeing.

Four animated ‘Experience’ Zones spread across the department store allows one to explore, embrace and dissect seasonal color trends, helping the viewer understand their significance and origin.

The Large Paint Monster on the ground floor of the store is a futuristic approach to visually depict the fusion of creativity and fashion. The art installation not only includes the key pantones of the season but also an animated, interactive screen with a tech twist.

At the Color Meditation Chamber on the first floor, you are guided through a series of color visualizations, a powerful tool in meditation, to tune into different levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

The Color Trend Cube is a life-size Rubik’s Cube that visually emphasizes the colors of the season.

The Color Lab is the most colorfully interesting part of the campaign created by Galeries Lafayette Doha in collaboration with one of the world’s leading paint manufacturers, Jotun Paints. This color bar offers a menu fresh off the runways of the New York Fashion Week Autumn/Winter ’19 collection, which you can mix together to create your favorite color for your walls or furniture and take it home for free!

“Our products as more than just paint. They are colors born from different stories. They are not just collections, but inspiration. The Color Lab will give a chance to Galeries Lafayette visitors to explore the beauty of their new winter collection colors, tinted live in one of our latest luxurious finish products (Fenomastic Wonder wall)” said Shashi Kumar, Country Manager of Jotun paints Qatar.

Excited about the campaign, Head of Visual Merchandising of Galeries Lafayette Doha Kevin Gerard Pender said: “At Galeries Lafayette we are always trying to take our customers beyond the retail experience. The Pantone – The Exploration of Colors campaign is a revelation. It highlights the power of colors and how it directly influences the soul. Henry Jacques embodies almost half a century of excellence and creativity. Born of Founder Henry Cremona’s travels, his inexhaustible passion and his wondrous encounter with one of the last great noses of the old French Perfume tradition, the Maison is one of the last family-run perfumeries. Its South of France laboratory houses thousands of scents and only the most precious and exclusive ingredients, so loved by those with a taste for absolute refinement, rarity and olfactory perfection.

The unique style of the new boutique embodies Henry Jacques’ attention to detail and its visionary spirit. Designed by Christophe Tollemer, esteemed architect and Henry Jacques’ Artistic Director, the space is inspired by an 18th century French castle, gracefully blending the illustriousness of the past with modern-day elegance and charm.

Galeries Lafayette Doha unveils ‘Together for Good campaign’ for Ramadan 2019

It’s that time of the year again – a time to give, time to share and time to reach out. In keeping with this spirit and to mark the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Ali Bin Ali Holding’s Galeries Lafayette Doha launched the ‘Together for Good campaign’ as part of its efforts to give back to society and nature.

The garment donation campaign upholds the philosophy of “global initiative for more responsible fashion”.  The endeavor is an extension of the Galeries Lafayette Group’s ambitious sustainable development policy that is applied at Galeries Lafayette all over the globe.

The 40-day campaign, which intends to promote recyclable fashion, will continue for the entire month of Ramadan until after Eid al-Fitr. A 4 meter tall mannequin has been placed at the main entrance of Galeries Lafayette Doha and all the donated clothes will be put up on it. At the end of every week, on Saturday, the clothes will be taken down and handed over to charity organizations for donation.

The ‘Together for Good’ initiative promotes the real meaning of sharing. Statistics show that an amazing 30% of clothes an individual buys are never worn. Encouraging people to share their unused clothes with the less fortunate is Galeries Lafayette Doha’s way of paying tribute to the Holy month of Ramadan.

Upholding the noble idea of donations and promotion of recycling, Vice Chairman & EVP of Ali Bin Ali Holding Mr. Nabeel Ali Bin Ali said: “We are committed towards having a more responsible business. We believe in promoting common good and the ‘Together for Good campaign’ is a manifestation of that effort. It is not just a campaign, but also a movement for the progress and wellbeing of the society. The Holy month of Ramadan was the ideal time to take this small step towards greater good. ”

True to its role as a ‘brand house’ and a trendsetter, Galeries Lafayette Doha’s Ramadan 2019 ‘Together for Good’ campaign champions the idea of charity and the importance of recyclable fashion for a better world for all.
